Submission Guidelines

Lida Literary Magazine seeks to print your previously unpublished work in fiction, creative non-fiction, poetry and artwork. We value honest and unapologetic storytelling.

We encourage, seek and prioritize diverse voices. We urge BIPOC (Black and Indigenous People of Colour), women, LGBTQ+, those with mental illnesses, persons with disabilities and any marginalized groups of people to submit with us. We promise to treat your writing and artwork with care and respect.

We do not accept work that is derogatory, racist, homophobic, transphobic, or dehumanizing in any way, shape or form.

FLASH FICTION CONTEST 2021:

Please submit your work to lidalitmag@gmail.com with the subject heading: "[LAST NAME] - SUBMISSION: FLASH FICTION."

We will be accepting fiction only for this contest. 500 words max.

Winners will be featured on our blog and in this summer's upcoming Issue 03!

Submit as an attachment in 12 point Times New Roman, double spaced with no page numbers, names or personal information.

Simultaneous submissions are welcomed - we encourage writers to share their work through as many outlets as possible!

ISSUE 03:

Please submit your work to lidalitmag@gmail.com with the subject heading: "[LAST NAME] – SUBMISSION: ISSUE 03."

In the body of your email include a 50-word (max) bio, with your first and last name and contact information. Please do not include bio in any attachments. For examples of bios, see our Contributors section in Issue 01 + 02.

Ensure to submit fiction and creative non-fiction as an attachment in 12 point Times New Roman, double spaced with no page numbers, names or personal information. The same requirements go for poetry, unless style/form demands otherwise.

Max page count for all fiction, creative non-fiction, poetry and artwork is 5 pages.

Due to the amount of submissions we received for our last issue (yay!), we will only be accepting one piece per writer/artist this time around.

Simultaneous submissions are welcomed - we encourage writers to share their work through as many outlets as possible!
